EE has also improved its 5G network alongside the expansion in the UK. The brand announced that it brings new 5G improvements to the existing locations, and the new locations benefit from the network and upgrades. The carrier explained that the expansion is a Christmas gift for people.
According to the carrier, the number of shoppers will increase this year and the new expansion is a welcome boost to small traders and their customers to give them a fast, reliable network to support contactless payment.
EE says on its blog, “EE remains the only network to apply coverage criteria before announcing a new location, ensuring customers can trust 5G coverage is available across a significant proportion of any announced location.”
Greg McCall, Chief Networks Officer, BT Group, said: “There is nothing like the sights and smells of a Christmas market. This year, with more people expected to visit some of the nation’s major destinations, ensuring the availability of high-capacity, super-fast connectivity is crucial for customers and traders alike. As we continue to invest in and expand our 5G network, we’re thrilled to be powering Christmas market destinations across more of the UK.”
